Description |
Etching from the portfolio Prophets, the second in Ben-Zion's Biblical Themes cycle. The etching depicts Elisha lying on the ground, arms and hands spread wide in a gesture of openness and receptivity. Above him, Elijah drops his mantle to Elisha as the elder prophet is swept into the heavens in an ethereal chariot. Editioned 58/65. |
